KapMorgan installs entry doors across Los Angeles: single doors, doors with sidelights or a transom, and double entry doors. An entry door does more work than any other door in the house — it takes daily weather, daily use and is the first thing a security-conscious homeowner checks. We measure the opening on site, check the frame condition, and confirm the exact price before ordering. Most installations finish in a single visit once the door arrives, and we walk you through the hardware and weatherstripping options before you commit. Every estimate is free.

Entry Door Installation: Prices

Prices depend on the door size, material and whether sidelights, a transom or a second door are involved. we confirm the exact price on site before ordering. Every estimate is free.

Material is the biggest factor: fiberglass and steel doors cost less than solid wood, and wood doors need more maintenance over time. Sidelights and a transom add glass and framing, which increases both material and labor. If the existing rough opening does not match a standard size, extra framing work is needed and we call that out in the quote. We also check that the door swings the correct direction and clears any nearby steps or landings before ordering. $150 minimum per visit, labor only. Several small tasks in one visit are added together.

What’s Included

When to Replace an Entry Door

An entry door installed slightly out of level, or with weatherstripping compressed unevenly, will eventually let in drafts or stick during humid weather. Getting it right means checking the frame is plumb, setting the door with even reveals on all sides, and adjusting the strike plate so the deadbolt throws smoothly. We check all of this during the walkthrough before we consider the job finished.

Los Angeles weather is mild most of the year, but winter rain and coastal marine air still take a toll on an entry door that was not sealed correctly. Homes near the coast or in the Valley with more sun exposure see faster wear on wood doors especially. We factor in your home’s exposure when we recommend a material and finish, so the door you get holds up to your specific conditions rather than a generic recommendation. Fiberglass and steel entry doors resist this weathering better than solid wood and need less upkeep over time, which is why we point most clients toward one of them unless they specifically want a wood door’s look.
